Hey all,

After seeing 8 Mulch Lands do well in the MTGO results as well as do well in the SCGCON in the hands of Daryl Ayers, I finally got around to trying it.

At its core, this is a Field of the Dead deck (focused on maximizing the synergy between Field of the Dead and ‘Exploration’ effects). That’s why you see ‘1-of’ lands that tap for red or green (such as Grove of the Burnwillows and Stomping Ground). The original 8Mulch lists didn’t play Thespian’s Stage or Dark Depths, instead playing Urza’s Saga. I believe the re-addition of Stage + Depths makes the deck more flexible and powerful.
